As I wrote in the first part of this series, I got molded for custom Hyper Sincro boots a little over a month ago. I have been impatiently waiting for the boots to arrive since I have been skating on borrowed skates that don’t fit me.
The boots finally arrived on December 20th - and of course I couldn’t use them because we were going to the Nutcracker that night. Good thing I paid for overnight shipping! I will actually skate on them for the first time this Thursday, and I cannot wait to try them out.
So the box arrived and I eagerly tore into this early Christmas present. They were as beautiful as I hoped they would be. I had already received the Hyper Genesis frames, so I put the frames on and snapped some photos.

I know some people don’t like the silver, but to me it looks really cool and fast. Hey, they make bullet trains silver, right?! In addition to the boots, they sent along the molds used to make them which was pretty neat.

These molds were made from the mold made of my feet. They fill in the original molds and make the positive (I think it’s the positive) of my foot, then build the boot around the new mold.
I was able to try them on and tool around the room just a bit. It’s amazing how tightly they fit to my foot, which I guess I should have expected. But the cool thing is, although they are really snug, it’s not that “bad” tight where the foot is squeezed in all the wrong places making it hurt (which is what I have been dealing with). It’s like putting a glove on your foot.
I’m sure these will take some getting used to, and they’ll need to be broken in (they are incredibly stiff), but I’m very excited to see what it is like to skate in them.

Where can I get these made for my feet? I cannot find a link to the provider from your story. Please advise!
Thanks
